Liability Acknowledgment
I acknowledge that candle-making and interaction with foster animals at Wicks & Whiskers involves inherent risks. I understand that candle-making activities use heated wax (between 170°F and 185°F at pour) and open flames, and that interaction with foster kittens may result in scratches, bites, or exposure to dander.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation. I agree to follow the safety instructions provided by Wicks & Whiskers staff at the start of my session — including, but not limited to, wearing the provided apron, handling kittens only as directed, and reporting any spilled wax, allergic reaction, or injury immediately.
I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, release and hold harmless Wicks & Whiskers, its owners, employees, volunteers, contractors, and rescue partners from any claims arising out of my participation, except those caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Photo & Video Consent
I consent to the capture and use of photographs and video taken during my visit to Wicks & Whiskers for marketing, social media, the Wicks & Whiskers website, and the personal Experience Memory page that the venue creates as a souvenir of my visit.
If I prefer not to be photographed, I will inform a staff member at the start of my session and they will accommodate the request. I understand that incidental capture in wide-angle interior shots may still occur and that I may request removal of any specific image after publication by emailing contact@wicksandwhiskers.com.
Guests Under 18
Guests under the age of 18 may participate in any experience at Wicks & Whiskers only when a parent or legal guardian (i) is present at the venue for the entirety of the session and (ii) signs this waiver on the minor's behalf in addition to the minor's own signature where the minor is 13 or older.
The candle-pouring portion of every experience is supervised by trained staff. For safety, guests under 8 years of age may observe the pour but may not handle hot wax themselves; a staff chandler will pour on their behalf while they choose the scent, vessel, and color.
